The Rutgers chapter of SEA is currently inactive, pending approval as an on-campus organization from the Rutgers University administration.

 Our initial proposal was rejected because we appeared to not be an organization with independant purpose, goals, or mission from other on-campus organizations, and would be inelegible for recognition from the university and from recieving student fee allocations. Without recognition from the university, we are not permitted to reserve academic or student center space for meetings, and are not allowed to advertize ourselves on campus with fliers or email messages to students.
