Senate Committee on Appropriations
About the Committee
The role of the Senate Committee on Appropriations is to make “appropriations made by law” which allow expenditures of money from the Federal treasury for the purpose of funding government agencies and departments. The twelve subcommittees of the committee are in charge of the legislation to allocate funds to the government agencies in their jurisdiction.
