Internships in Washington, D.C.
Scientists and Engineers for America (SEA) is seeking an energetic research intern, with a background in science and health policy issues, to support the development of several new projects for the fall semester. The intern will work closely with SEA staff and be involved in tasks including researching and drafting concise descriptions of current science policy issues, researching elected officials’ biographies and voting records on science policy issues, and collecting science policy news articles for our website. Other miscellaneous administrative duties may be assigned occasionally.
Virtual Internships
SEA is also searching for virtual interns to support the development of our programs (including the SHARP Network). Members of the first SEA virtual intern class can be located anywhere in the world and will work remotely on specific SEA projects. As an intern you will work closely with SEA staff and be tasked with researching the positions elected officials and candidates for office take on science policy issues. Other projects may also be assigned. Virtual Interns will be an integral part of the SEA office, and will participate in weekly administrative and policy calls.
The internship is for between 10 to 20 hours per week and can be done anywhere, as long as you have a computer, internet connection, and telephone. The dates of the internship are flexible and we will accept virtual interns on a rolling basis. It is open to any SEA member.
How to apply
Please send an e-mail including a resume, cover letter, and a short paragraph on why you want to be involved with SEA to contact@sefora.org. This is an unpaid position.
