Election Update

Don Karg lost the 2008 election, and will not serve in the 111th Congress.

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY POLICY QUESTIONNAIRE

SEA and eighteen other science organizations came together to ask the 2008 congressional candidates and winners seven questions on science and technology policy. See what Don Karg said:

Innovation

Science and technology have been responsible for half of the growth of the American economy since World War II. But several recent reports question America’s continued leadership in these vital areas. What policies would you support to ensure that America remains the world leader in innovation?
What policies would you support to ensure that America remains the world leader in innovation? Shoot the Spies [FBI states as a Substantial Problem] and Shutdown any Organizations that Sold-out America [Reference the 1998 Military Cox Report].

Climate Change

The Earth’s climate is changing and there is concern about the potentially adverse effects of these changes on life on the planet. What is your position on the following measures that have been proposed to address global climate change—a cap-and-trade system, a carbon tax, increased fuel-economy standards, and research? Are there other policies you would support?
What Policies would I take on Climate Change? I would shutdown Major Sporting Events and get to the Heart of the matter [stop Deforestation, Plant Trees, Reduce Emissions, Change over to Compressed Air Vehicles [Andy Grove?], Ground the Aircraft on given days, Rethink the system]--to wake up those who think they can have Giant Carbon Foot Print and Pretend not to be the problem [Got that Al].

Energy

Many scientists and policymakers say energy security and sustainability are major problems facing the United States this century. What policies would you support to meet the demand for energy while ensuring an economically and environmentally sustainable future?
We were on Track, Population Growth, until those running our Government [CFR/Baker/Carter/Pastor] decided to let in Millions of Illegal Immigrants that caused a huge strain on the system now we stare at the surface problems but not the real root cause of the action--Mis-Management to terms few like to talk about-- Sabotage and Treason.

Education

A comparison of 15-year-olds in 30 wealthy nations found that average science scores among U.S. students ranked 17th, while average U.S. math scores ranked 24th. What role do you think the federal government should play in preparing K-12 students for the science and technology driven 21st Century?
Keep the Government out of Education--the Less, the Better! Look at what happened in Cleveland, Ohio--The Nation's largest failure for decades. We need to regulate the Financing of Education better to keep the Fraud out of the Pell Grants, and the Conspiring Bankers and College Administrations that refer Student Loans to potential students. In Tempe, Arizona, 1988, Ms. Mary Lyn Hammer was appalled to find that fraud and abuse were rampant in the student loan industry [Champion College Solutions L.L.C. was 1994 Hands On, Inc., then in 1998--Hands On Canada, Inc.].

Water

Thirty-nine states expect some level of water shortage over the next decade, and scientific studies suggest that a majority of our water resources are at risk. What policies would you support to meet demand for water resources?
What policies would you support to meet demand for water resources?

Building Water Storage Unites, Reservoirs, Divert the Overflow Waters from any River to a National Reservoirs Network [see the existing Federal Reserve Plan] and construct more Man Made Lakes. Stop building Golf Courses in the Deserts!

Research

For many years, Congress has recognized the importance of science and engineering research to realizing our national goals. Given that the next Congress will likely face spending constraints, what priority would you give to investment in basic research in upcoming budgets?
Investment in basic research in upcoming budgets? I am not in a panic and neither is the Government. The investments will be made on the importance to the National Defense of the United States of America.

Health

Americans are increasingly concerned with the cost, quality, and availability of health care. How do you see science, research, and technology contributing to improved health and quality of life?
How do you see science, research, and technology contributing to improved health and quality of life? Seen nothing but Fraud, Fraud, and Fraud from the last Twenty years, ever since VP Spiro Agnew had to go get Edgar Kaiser's HMO Plan through the Oval Office--After Nixon signed "the Plan," he was no longer needed! Until we have Newspapers who investigate, TV Companies who are able to investigate, and a Department of Justice who can track down Doctors, Surgeons, Nurses, Health Organizations, Out Care, etc. . . we are not going to see the situation improve [Assassinated U.S. Attorneys--U.S. Attorney's office Shannon K. Ross and her associate Thelma Colbert, investigating [Tenet Healthcare]]
