Energy

Goode criticized H.R. 6, the Congressional energy legislation passed in 2007, in a December 2007 press release, saying that the "legislation will force families to purchase more expensive vehicles that run on more expensive fuel" and will raise the cost of electricity.[1]

In a press release issued on April 24, 2008, Goode announced his opposition to suspending the addition of oil to the strategic petroleum reserve, citing that the plan does "nothing more than pay lip service to the financial pain Americans are feeling at the gasoline pump."[2]
