Energy

Puckett's energy plan calls for drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), saying that allowing energy companies to drill there would increase the United States daily domestic oil production by 20% and generate $138 billion in revenue. The plan also supports drilling for oil in other parts of America, including Colorado, Utah, North Dakota, Montana, and off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. He supports using current drilling technology, which is "twice as clean as drilling technology of a generation ago" and says drilling in ANWR will have little effect on local wildlife.

Health

On Puckett's campaign website, he shows his support for citizens being able to purchase health insurance across state lines and promoting health savings accounts for private insurance. He also vows to fight frivolous lawsuits that increase insurance prices. Puckett is opposed to a government run health care bureaucracy, saying "I don’t want the same folks who couldn’t get bottled water to the Superdome during Katrina controlling our Health Care system."[1]
