Funding
- According to a press release from June 18, 2008, Congressman Wittman voted to authorize annual funding for NASA and the NASA Langley Research Center. The bill he voted for, the NASA Authorization Act of 2008 (H.R.6063), provides $20.2 billion in overall funding, with $853.5 million specifically for aeronautics R&D. The funding will cover research initiatives, such as aircraft noise and emissions, national airspace redesign, and supersonic flight and weather. It also requires NASA to award grants to post-secondary institutions to establish cooperative research centers on aviation training.
